A door in any type of architectural grille is used to gain access to heat and ventilation controls, thermostats, heating and cooling control valves, ventilation air treatment filters, electrical or mechanical switches, or receptacles.
You have unlimited options regarding the placement of a door in either a linear bar grille or perforated metal grille. In addition, Advanced Architectural Grilleworks can provide doors customized for your specific application with limitless possibilities for the following:
Access door length: The standard access door length is 8.0″ which provides a clear opening of 6.0″
Access door width: To ensure sufficient access below your AAG linear bar grille, we recommend a minimum door width of 4.0″
Access door hinging direction — linear bar grille doors can be hinged along the length of the grille or hinged along the width. Hinging is usually provided with a durable pivot mechanism. Our team of linear grille experts can tailor an access door to meet any of your project requirements.
Access door opening direction — The doors can be made to pivot open to the right or left depending on the position of your required access point.
Doors can be positioned anywhere along your linear bar grille, left, right, center and even doors on each end if dual access is required.
Loose access door — These doors are drop in sections which match the design of your linear bar grille. They are typically used when there is not enough clearance for a pivot.
Advanced Architectural Grilleworks pioneered the creation of a low profile recessed door lift handle. So unique it was granted patent status.
